Pancha Varna

1. Yellow, 
2. Green, 
3. Red, 
4. White and
5. Black (Indigo)

called Pancha Varna – are of auspicious consideration specially in the context of the classical Jain texts and Hindu Rituals.

The 24 Jain Thirtankaras are identified with these five colours. These five colours are considered mystic ; 16 Thirthankaras are marked as yellow coloured, and two each of the remaining eight with red, white, green and black.
